Scion

Probably one of the easiest things in the world to do is to go around categorizing people. Especially when you’re with friends, it’s as easy as saying, “whoa that guy, definitely a hipster” or “that girl looks so slutty she probably has trojan embedded on her cheekbone”. But one of the few really important things that I’ve learned since coming into college is that by judging people before you actually meet them, you are only hurting yourself. Some of my closest friends in college are people I would never even though of associating myself with in the past. If I had given in to the urge to judge people before really getting to know them, I would have deprived myself of some of the most rewarding relationships I have ever had.
